Get Outdoors

Spring is in full effect. The sun is shining and the flowers have blossomed. There's a new spirit in the air. Here in CA, it feels like summer today!  It's time to mix it up, get out of the house and into the great outdoors. If you're getting bored of your same 'ol workout regime, chances are, your workout is bored of you! It's important to mix up our workouts to maximize our results. Have you ever considered picking up a sport? A few weeks ago I played beach volleyball for the first time in a long time and it was such a blast! I had an amazing workout, fun with other ladies, and I loved starting my day by getting some fresh air. If you're looking for something fun to do, go for a hike or a bike ride outside. Have you ever considered playing golf or tennis? I love golf and tennis because 1. cute outfits and 2. it's something fun to do with your partner (or to meet someone!). I have started teaching a class outside and it has been so much fun. Put on some sunscreen and go soak up that vitamin D!

Incorporating a random activity just a few times a month, will shake things up, keep your body guessing, and improve your skill-set. I can't wait until the water gets warm, looking forward to stand up paddling, and maybe even a little surfing this summer!

Note: If you're going to be outside (even just for a little) Make sure you're wearing a sunscreen to protect your skin! I wear Suntegrity sunscreen. It's a good one - natural, effective and tinted (no make-up needed ;) xo
